Post-Crescent Photographer Captures Sights from 60s Night at Waterfest, July 30, 2009

The web link below holds the key to some great memories of last night's concert in Oshkosh at the Leach Ampitheatre. The source is the Post-Crescent Photo Section. http://www.postcrescent.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gallery?Site=U0&Date=20090730&Category=OSH01&ArtNo=907300814&Ref=PH&Params=Itemnr=1 People lined up to get in, as talented photographer, Shu-Ling Zhou, captured some superb images as Oshkosh, Wisconsin went back to the 60s for a definite British-themed evening. The Britins opened the evening in full Beatles costume attire and hair-cut, followed by Herman's Hermits starring Barry Whitwam, and evening headliners, The Buckinghams, Chicago natives with the name that sounded British. The Union Jack up on stage was reminiscent of when the producers of the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour thought The Bucks were British and had that as decoration when the band performed on their show. At least in Oshkosh, everyone was British for the evening.

The Buckinghams' Music One of the Influences on Successful Contemporary Songwriting Duo

From July 23, examiner.com, the LA Rock Music Examiner writer Natalie Perez interviews contemporary songwriters Joey Alkes and Chris Fradkin. Story begins: A douse of double trouble is heading in your direction with these teamsters known simply as Joey Akles and Chris Fradkin take control when answering these alignment of questions. These two have become well known musicians and have composed and created some of the most catchiest and smoothest going music around. The twosome spoke to me recently about how they formed and what sorts of music they tend to create and what are the plans for them within the upcoming future. 1. How, when, and why did you form? JOEY ALKES: We worked in the same act years ago in Denver, Colorado. We're talking 76-78. Chris wrote some tunes with these two characters I managed and produced. When the band collapsed in L.A. after signing a deal with Don Williams Music, Chris and I stayed in L.A. and started writing. CHRIS FRADKIN: That's about it. I was o
