The Buckinghams take the stage July 18
July 12, 2009
The Buckinghams, one of Chicago's most successful 1960s groups, will perform in concert at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 18, on the Miller Lite Sound Stage at this year's Kane County Fair in St. Charles.
These Chicago natives rose to the top of the music charts with their No. 1 hit "Kind of a Drag" and haven't looked back. Playing to sell-out crowds across the nation they entertain with their string of hits. Chart busters like "Don't You Care," "Hey Baby They're Playing Our Song," "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy," and "Susan" make each concert an evening of memories.
In the 1960s the band was at the forefront of a musical style that has come full-circle. Today, The Buckinghams blend their original hits with others made popular by Blood Sweat and Tears, Chicago, the Spencer Davis Group, James Brown, Three Dog Night, Billy Joe Royal, and Motown's biggest acts.
