Buckinghams to Play Concert in the Canyon, Terrebonne, Oregon, Sat. Sept. 26th

The Buckinghams are this year's featured entertainment for the Tower Theatre Foundation's benefit concert, to be held at Ranch at the Canyons, in Terrebonne, Oregon, Saturday, Sept. 26th.

"The Tower Theatre Foundation and the Ranch at the Canyons resort have forged a unique partnership to produce a one-of-a-kind outdoor concert Saturday, September 26, 2009, featuring the 1960s hitmakers THE BUCKINGHAMS. They will perform all their memory-evoking, dance-inducing chart toppers, including Hey Baby, They’re Playing Our Song; Susan; Kind of a Drag; Don’t You Care, plus other great tunes of the late ‘60s and early 70s."

"This event takes place on the banks of the scenic Crooked River, which meanders through the Ranch...

...The Ranch and the Tower have extensive connections to the Central Oregon community and are deeply rooted in the history and current lifestyles of this beautiful region."

The private fundraiser is being sponsored by US Bank and Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, and Greer, Mahr & Associates.

"The Tower Theatre Foundation ( is the operating entity for the historic movie house, an icon of downtown Bend. Originally built in 1940, the Tower was renovated and reopened in 2004 to rave reviews. As a fully functional performing arts theatre, it now hosts 220 events a year, including international artists, nationally recognized performers, local and regional civic groups, plus movies meant to be seen on the “big screen.”

As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, the Tower Foundation receives generous support from over 400 members, 150 volunteers, a dozen sponsors, and 50,000 patrons a year. The Ranch at the Canyons event provides a wonderful opportunity for the Tower to say “thank you” to these supporters."

"Ranch at the Canyons ( is a private, 1,700-acre ranch estate just north of Terrebonne, Oregon featuring four remote canyons, lush meadows, vineyards and orchards, trout-filled lakes, and breathtaking views of Smith Rock and the Cascade Mountains. Sixty villa estates, approximately ten acres each, are home to a select group of residents. Timeless Tuscan/Napa style architecture is beautifully incorporated into the Stables, Clubhouse, and Spa."

"The Ranch has served as the dramatic backdrop for John Wayne and Kathryn Hepburn in Rooster Cogburn, Kevin Cosner in The Postman, and John Travolta and Halle Berry in Swordfish."
