Budget-friendly Kane County Fair opens July 15 Fairgrounds sport numerous improvements Comments July 12, 2009 By LINDA GIRARDI For the Sun-Times News Group Tens of thousands of visitors are expected again this year to enjoy the 141st running of the Kane County Fair and Festival July 15 to 19 in St. Charles. They will experience a new air-conditioned 50,000 square foot exhibit hall, total blacktopping of the entertainment and eating areas, new and larger areas for exhibitors and new facilities for equestrian competition. New drainage has been installed to handle any inclement weather. Kane County Fair and Festival When: Opens daily at noon, July 15 to 19. Where: The Kane County Fairgrounds are located on Randall Road between routes 64 and 38 in St. Charles. Cost: Daily admission is $5, while children 5 and younger are admitted free.
