Glendale Heights Fest western suburbs of Chicago July 8 to 12

Glendale Heights Fest is a great community festival in the western suburbs of Chicago, being held July 8–12, 2009. Take the family out for an afternoon and evening of outdoors entertainment, good food, the ever popular carnival rides and Fireworks by Straymuse SXC fireworks shows. Fourth of July weekend may be over but the summertime festivals continue in the communities around the Chicago area. Glendale Heights Fest will be held for five days, July 8 – July 12, in the western suburbs of Chicago. Glendale Heights Fest features entertainment, carnival midway rides, food booths and fireworks. Glendale Heights Summerfest 2009 Wednesday, July 8th at Camera Park, Glendale Heights 101 E. Weekend Charity Auction Features Guitar Signed by Chicago Musicians

Tickets will be sold at the raffle booth at the Mount Prospect Lions Club Festival, which runs through Sunday, July 5, in Melas Park. Only 500 will be sold for $10 each. The Buckinghams to Perform at Elmwood Park Freedom Fest, Friday July 3rd

The annual Freedom Festival at Elmwood Park goes from July 2-5, 2009, and the site is Elmwood Park High School, located at Fullerton and Thatcher. On Friday, July 3rd, the evening's activities begin for the Chicago Legends Night starting at 5 pm. On Sunday, June 28th, The Buckinghams will take the stage at 8:30 pm until 10 pm at the American Fest at Sportman's Park. The Beatles Tribute Band, "American English" will open the Festival on Friday night, on Saturday, Chicago rockers The Ides of March will perform, and Sunday's performance by The Buckinghams will highlight the conclusion of the annual festival.
